I read an old friends’ ‘favourite quotes’ on her facebook today

I couldn’t believe my eyes, but saw my name at the end of one of the quotes

“’Love first, then ask questions’ –Christie Brim,” it read

Did I really say that?

My eyes started tearing up

How far have I come away from that quote?

Was I so open, listening and loving at that phase sophomore year of college

Am I still living with that mindset or have I become closed, set and unmoving?

Love first, then ask questions……..

I fear that I have begun to move into the state of, “fear others, keep to whats known’

The age old “guilty until proven innocent”

From too trust worthy to fearful
